Lovers Quarrel Poem by Suelynn Walters

Lovers Quarrel

In which part of this conversation
Do you feel you've won tell me
Was it the raised tone of your voice
Or tell me was it your stubbornly
So you had your own true say
But what have you really gained
When all the shouting you've done
Left you feeling more the strain

A Lovers Quarrel

All those mean words you've used
As I stood silent and walked away
Now you're more wrong than right
As I have no words for you to say
Clearly you're tryiing to make up now
Your talk is soft and so inviting
You do your best to woe me again
How you give it your best is delighting

A Lovers Quarrel
