Loves Time Poem by Wendell Belden

Loves Time

Pearled strings of caring day's

Can brightly adorn the past

But cannot hold love that sways

Nor make it another moment last.

So outstretched I hold my hand to thee

For you to loosely take in yours

Knowing not a stronger bond to be

To bind us through our loving hour's.

For future love we cannot give

Tomorrow not ours to see

This moment is what we live

It's all that there will ever be.

And though vows taken and promises spoken

May contain our loves devotion

They are too easily broken

Loving this very moment is loves truest duration.
