Lovesick Poem by D. M. L. Catseye

Lovesick

I always write poems
About how it hurts
When you first fall in love
And you stay up til two
Thinking about this person
And they don't have a clue
You know it's going to happen
When the first time you see them
In a while, you have to gasp
The heart, it starts beating
A little different than it was before
A little deeper, like you're nervous
And you don't know what for?
All you think about
Is what might happen
Between you one day
And at the end of the night
You realize how sick you are
You're finally in love again?
Why does my chest hurt so much?
I don't want this to happen
And it's been so long...
It hurts, and I'm alive again?
