Loving Across Seasons Poem by Arno Le Roux

Loving Across Seasons

Seasons have changed her north and her south,
But letters still arrive to be kissed by her mouth,
His caring updates on his life and career,
Painting the scenes as if she wasn't near,

Diets and implants for years her concern,
Real men oblivious? Then why they do yearn? ,
God granted some men the sight from a mile,
'For two things than don't change,
Your eyes and your smile',

Its twenty years later he still takes the time,
Telling her softly 'oh your heart's mine',
But time wasn't kind or so she had thought,
Reading his letters of things never bought,

Diets and implants for years her concern,
Real men oblivious? Then why they do yearn? ,
God granted some men the sight from a mile,
'For two things than don't change,
Your eyes and your smile',

Walking from the shower the mirror she past,
Today called her back as some things 'do' last,
Younger image gone now naked she stood,
Looking with long looks at womanhood,

Diets and implants for years her concern,
Real men oblivious? Then why they do yearn? ,
God granted some men the sight from a mile,
'For two things than don't change,
Your eyes and your smile',

Cupping her hands then under her breasts,
Missing men's looks, those were the best,
Waiting for whispers admiring her,
Looking around her as she compare,

Diets and implants for years her concern,
Real men oblivious? Then why they do yearn? ,
God granted some men the sight from a mile,
'For two things than don't change,
Your eyes and your smile',

A cold day, a tall man running in France,
Did what an angel can do with a glance,
Pulling her back form an oncoming car,
Saving her beauty, from a great scar,

Diets and implants for years her concern,
Real men oblivious? Then why they do yearn? ,
God granted some men the sight from a mile,
'For two things than don't change,
Your eyes and your smile',

Yes its her birthday and with it a treat,
Travel to France to where they did meet,
Looking to the mirror to the image of love,
The figure he still saw was one from above,

Diets and implants for years her concern,
Real men oblivious? Then why they do yearn? ,
God granted some men the sight from a mile,
'For two things than don't change,
Your eyes and your smile',

Twenty years later and with his great care,
Reminded his lover of that which she bare,
Inquisitive brown eyes that saw beauty in life,
And her smile on that day that made her his wife,

Diets and implants for years her concern,
Real men oblivious? Then why they do yearn? ,
God granted some men the sight from a mile,
'For two things that don't change,
Your eyes and your smile'
