Joker's One Way Train
Smilingly hidden cloaked in time's unforgiving shadow
While the coaches rush further, more hours to swallow
Inside the splendour and music match the good wine
None feels as the Joker of all feasts on their time
Stop the madness pushed on by greed, need and urge
Look for others who discovered the Joker's old merge
Make time to let go of the trap to succeed at all cost
The next coaches are destined for stations called lost
Slow down the ones who's hearts and smiles you share
Show them how time swallows success in his snare
Ask first how long the ride to success will be
Ask how many minutes with dear ones you will not see...

Very wise and thoughtful insight in your poem. great rhythmic rhyming all the way through it! I love your ending line: Ask first how long the ride to success will be Ask how many minutes with dear ones you will not see........ A very poignant thought, an important one in life. Great poem! Thank you for sharing it. RoseAnn
