Loving Like A Child Poem by Chris Kafunda

Loving Like A Child

When I was a child, I thought like a child, danced, moved, prayed and loved like a child. Blindly, trusting any appealing surrounding or surfaces like a child, reaching for the unattainables way above me like a child.
Well, as I grow up much haven't changed
Still loving this woman purely like a child,
I cant reach her, yet I am on my toes, arms stretched,
hoping that just the right amount of moves will shake her down towards me,
I look up to my father above, he looks in my eyes, all he wants is to please me, yet what I want, may not be what is good for me
But I still love like a child,
I see no evil first, all I want is share the little I have with her like a child.;
sit around, playing games that no one else can understand like a child.
I can lose it all but never my heart of a child.
