Loving You Poem by james d nall,jr

Loving You

I waited for many long years
Did my best to avoid my fears
Searching the world around me
Wondering where my true love could be......
Found
Through all the endless expanses I looked
Only to find, You existed in nothing but books
Then, at a little sidewalk coffee shop
I saw you and my heart came to a stop
As our eyes met you looked perplexed and surprised
We both had waited for this moment all our lives
Conversation quickly took us out of reality
To the place we both shared in our fantasy
As the sun set in the western sky
Full glowing moon came up for you and I
The days and nights that followed then
Have been so joyous, that we don't have to pretend
Our love's taken two broken hearts and got them to mend
