Luckier Than Most Poem by Francis Duggan

Luckier Than Most

Rating: 5.0

I am sixty two will soon be sixty three
And so many Countries I never will see
I will live till the Reaper claim my life's breath whenever that be
And life in the World will go on without me
Of any success in life I cannot boast
But I have been lucky luckier than most
Of the millions of people who are doing it tough
I feel in life I have been lucky enough
So many of the homeless die hungry and young
The poor of the World their praises unsung
Long dead before the years would bring gray to their hair
For the forgotten have nots life must seem unfair
Compared to most I have no cause to complain
In my life I've never known suffering and pain.
