Lullaby Poem by Ilya Kaminsky

Lullaby

Little daughter
rainwater-

snow and branches protect you
white-washed walls-

and neighbors' hands, also.
child of my aprils

little earth of
six pounds—

my white hair
keeps your sleep lit.
