Lullaby In Safe Arms Poem by Ardra B

Lullaby In Safe Arms

A quite drizzle morning,
Chants can be heard from the village temple.
Doesn't feel like getting up
as the cold nature embraces me.
Earthen walls have not yet been awakened,
trees have yet feel the sun.
But the village is awake,
Chirping of Sparrows,
Crowing of cocks and crows
Songs of women all these voices make village vibrant.

A grandpa walks with bowed head
through country side.
Bench with the burden of memories.
Memories can burden the Second babyhood.
He looked at me curiously,
he tries to give light through his eyes.
He raised his head,
Walked as if he had given a flame.
Boys cycled through the country side like butterflies.
They fly without burdens
and without fences.

Cactus laid fence at the end of the farmyard.
They have a basin of freshwater
I can hear the gentle gurgling as
I look through thorns,
Pond seemed to be healing after the flood Panchax swims against the current in the ditch.
Shell fishes are perched on a windswept field,
Wind also touches the rose apples.
Breeze smells like flowers, fruits and soil.
Fragrance giving shoulder touch.

Torrential rain makes a concert in village.
It takes my paper boat to ditch.
There are a lot of passengers in boat,
It may be a disaster.
The sundown witness celebration,
Procession of the temple festival.
Little crowds, traditional drummers, massive flower effigies and performers playing a new rhythm.
kattalan and kariyilamadan
came to frighten me

I ran home,
Put myself in Safe arms.
Breeze, crickets and frogs
Sang a lullaby
Fireflies lit up my dreams.
