Lullabye Waltz Poem by Leopold Cann

Lullabye Waltz

The setting sun throws scarlet rays.
The day tiptoes away.
The green claked hills draw purple veils.
The flowers stay their stay.

Peacefully sleep, my baby sweet.
Fly to the land of dreams.
Fairies murmur, sleepy head,
With voices sweet and low.

Silvery moonbeams light your way
Through the dusky velvet skies.
Afloat like a cloud in the lovely blue
Rocked in a lullabye
Rocked in a lullabye
