Lunar Voyage Poem by BASAB CHAUDHURI

Lunar Voyage

Once I felt and I will tell
It was a dense evening
I was walking by the river
Alone, and it was near perfection.

The night was falling sharp
At this hour no bird to chirp
The trees were sleeping quiet
The moon was shining bright.

The bank as desolate as it could be
Only the dancing waves I could see
I heard the river rhyming down
When I saw the dissolving moon.

I saw Luna gently float away
Swelled in grief, I lost my way.
