Lunch Time Poem by douglas lewis

Lunch Time

Rating: 5.0

Looking up from the
Bottom of the stairs
They stood tall above me,
Waiting for words to
Be spoken.
The longer I waited,
The taller they stood.
The wife,
The girl next door
And the cat,
All females
And all hissing.
Tomato soup please,
I said.
