Lying Water Poem by Stephen Brian Brady

Lying Water

in winter
the path to the beach
not many know going there
it just don't reach

we, on cloudless days
when the sun's low in the sky
dazzled, walk in air

if anyone asks

say no-one
as an isolated cloud passed by
not a walker and her dog
with bark and cry

fell upwards from a pool of sky
