M.L.H.3 Poem by Elizabeth Walker

M.L.H.3

Do you hear that silence that’s peace within my heart, you still my soul,
I wish we never had to part you showed me so much kindness said
That’s what friends are for, I’ve never had a friend give me the key to their door
you remember every detail you catch every word and then you’ll bring them back
To me long after I forgot you heard
The special way about you makes you hard to resist, I knew that about you
Long before we kissed
Effortlessly you’ve stolen a part of me ill let you keep
Out of his hands slowly like sand through fingers I will seep
Don’t forget me please each day I think of you
Our laughs, cries, and memories everything that we’ve been through
