M.S.C Poem by Elizabeth Walker

M.S.C

Hurricanes brew inside my soul
I’d rather you not take this toll
On me, my emotions you wreak havoc no lie
You don’t even know because you don’t even try
Being yourself and just saying hi
You’ve told me things that moved me to cry
I don’t want to blame because it’s not really your fault
But my heart is aching and you are like filling wounds with salt
I see your name flash on my phone
My face lights up if I’m all alone
I want so much more but I need so much less
It’s hard for me to write this I must confess
You’ve meant the world to me
It’d break my heart to see you go
You’re doing some soul searching
Something we both need I know.
