Ma Ma Poem by Rue Palmer

Ma Ma

Hold my hand mama
you are devine and I love you.
you are the guiding light in my soul
you cover me with your prayers
yes mama you touch my soul.

Hold my hand mama
I need your strenght your wisdom
and devine intelligence, you are fierce
and wise like the sun that never dies

Embrace me my dear mama
kissed by the God of ki kongo
a symbol of black beauty, you carry the weight
of my ancestors pain, yet you endure
like a bird unchained, yes mama you touch my soul.

Come what may, you are rooted in
so ninis heart, a beacon of love and hope
in a world unkind all your bones are of a different
time, with every hearthbeat you see everyone as
your child loves true unwavering glory, hold my hand
mama my feet is weary for your direction....
