Inna Nixon

Mad - Poem by Inna Nixon

My breathing is getting slower
And my heartbeat fades away
It took me days to look up
But I found darkness instead
Tomorrow will be better
That's what they always say
But my belief has worn out
And my hands are chapped and red
I was looking for an answer
But the answer never came
Do I fail at being a human?
Or the world is the one that's mad?
