Madhabi Poem by Binoy Barman

Madhabi

I met you in Madhabpur Tea Garden
You emerged from soft green flavour
Misty air sleeps on the bed of leaves
Coloured flowers ashamed of dancing stream
Dived into the shadow of bedewed dream.

You flew in the songs of birds
Your smile hung on Ekashia tree
Mystery of time fries ignorant eyes
Sucking the sweat of tea-girl, cries the sky
Madhabi, I lost you at my heart, good-bye!
