Madness Poem by Michael Moorcroft

Madness

Dementia had her is his cage,
Forgotten photos lay on the shelf,
Faded faces filled her with rage,
She became lost within herself,
Within she dwelt.

Paranoia crept up on her,
And stuck his teeth in deep,
See couldn't see it, was unaware,
Her house became a keep,
Dark and deep.

Depression savaged her mind,
Strangling her point of view,
Blinding her way to find,
The light and leaving no clue,
A mental ague.
