Magic Mandolin Poem by Pradip Saikia

Magic Mandolin

As soon as it becomes dark
A bunch of snow
Thorns will bloom

An incorporeal body without being draped in bark
Will sit in the twilight

As if a diamond ring of fragrant current
Will flow by the call of water
It is magic mandolin
As soon as darkness descends

The flying fingers will jump from string to string
Mad deodhani

It is the unseen world many miles apart
The virgin quay

Would you like to hear khambas

Come on foot
Come swimming tearing apart the rocks
O eternal fish
