Mahtab Bangalee Poem by Adeeb Al-Fateh

Mahtab Bangalee

On the piece of grassy mirror
I seek myself lavishly
No green peace I can buy
But the breeze touches the heart of debts

No poet can die in hideous hereafter
Poverty is the way to oblivious sepulcher
But plagiarism is the vision of illiteracy
If intelligence is nurtured in artificial barren land
Poet dies many times for lack of legacy

Sometimes there is no reason
Wealthy loneliness gulps the moan
Ink of poetry plays in stealthy tone
Ashes of phoenix lost in the elegiac shone
