My name is Bob, Bill, or Biff
Steve, Steven, or whatever it is
I'll be known to you as I am
Yes, Yes, indeed I do exist
I can be pleasant or a grouch
Rich or an impoverished lout
Loyal or a back stabbing thief
I am all of the things that you see
But not what you want me to be
I am imagined but oh so real
Used to establish a certain feel
The story is mine that you read
It's a journey that I must lead
Adventure could be my middle name
Drama, Horror, or the whole range
Learn well the lessons of my life
Because the author chose me right
Oh and sometimes I go by Susan
However Annie is never chosen
