Man Eternal Poem by Barima Basoah

Man Eternal

The womb has robbed off all memories,
you don't know and remember where you from,
you boast of many here now and to come,
yet you have not, not even yourself,
yet you know not, not even about yourself.

Eternal rest with forefathers at Ancestral home,
eternal life on earth through reincarnation,
eternity in a new earth of peaceful Paradise,
eternity in a glorious city of Heaven,
eternity in a fire lake of Hell.

The many perceptions of life after death,
not knowing where you come from,
nor with fear your end, make eternity real.
only the dead knows the truth,
but the dead cannot tell stories.
