Man proposes and God disposes,
As I had thought,
My mistress would be a fair and fine lady,
But God permitted it not
And instead I got it not a good mistress
Whose nature irks me all the times
As she cares it not at all
And has no inward affection to express,
So hard of heart
Faillng short to be called a rock or stone.
