Mandodari - Poem by Udaya Pant
Mandodari
Yes I will
Support Ravana
My husband
In all his
Unholy battles
Against Ram
If he wins
Sita to become
His wife
If he loses
I lose Ravana
Both ways
I am a loser
I would hence
Support him
To fulfil my duty
As Ravana wife
He owns his morality
I do mine
I did my job
Of giving him
My good advice
He didn’t take it
Now a wait
For our destiny!
