Manna Poem by udoh etido

Manna

A nice taste;
Rush through my veins;
It's been weeks and days;
My mouth knows no place.

Restless life;
Is my time ripe? ;
Thought of the life;
Light in sight blind.

Ask for more;
Is your duty done? ;
Fear the worst;
Men are not born with locks.

Took the step;
To make my belly afresh;
Came at last;
An unexpected stance.

Set out in the night;
Air cold as ice;
A gallant sight;
Filled not with mice'

Food for the brave;
Never set their hearts tame;
Came as one;
In the night with a sword.

Passage of glory;
All stand in great awe;
Never seen this flow;
Thinketh me where it will go.

Dispatch the arms;
Fight to the last;
For the inner man dies;
Days of neglect and fright.

A refreshing thought;
A new light is born;
Thinketh i clear;
Skies have ceased to glare.

Thinketh me sleep;
The hour of doom is ceased.

Never know when such will come;
Thunders do not strike at once.

A moment to cherish;
When my soul was impoverished.
