March 14, Pi Day Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

March 14, Pi Day

Three, one, four, it's March the day,
For Pi, a number here to stay.
A circle's edge, divided right,
By line across, in dark or light.

Three point one four, a simple start,
But Pi goes on, a work of art.
Math, science, all agree,
Pi's important, you can see.

Pi is a number, long and neat,
Circle's size, from edge to feet.
Round the outside, then across,
Pi helps measure, without a loss.

Math and science, use it well,
Stories of circles, it can tell.
It's a day for brains to glow and shine,
A constant number, truly divine.

Einstein's day, his birthday too,
A smart man's start, forever new.
UNESCO cheers, a global treat,
Pi Day fun, can't be beat!
