March In The Marsh Poem by Peyton Glenn

March In The Marsh

Forward they march
Into the unknown
Nothing but silence
Not even a groan

Soldiers they called them
They continued to march
These many brave men
Humped through the marsh

Younger than most
These men clad in camo
Teens at their post
They readied their ammo

Weapons at the ready
The march slowly stopped
Their hands unsteady
As the rain dropped

With a small whimper
The lead soldier fell
Like nuclear winter
Began their new hell
