Marico's Conquest Poem by udoh etido

Marico's Conquest

A fist in the sky;
Marico's great hand;
A giant he stands;
flee from terrible sights.

A fist in the night;
blind our eyes;
A fist so great;
a tale so great.

T'was but a sunny day;
where nature heard our says;
The sky cheered and danced;
until came Marico's great hand.

Ugo's folly;
to tell the story;
Ugo's folly;
to push the button.

A fist in the air;
the air trembled and feared;
A strange blow;
shook the earth below.

Why bequeath this to yourself? ;
why stir Marico's head? ;
Stupid you are;
to incite the devil inside;
Stupid you are;
to doubt Marico's hand.

Ugo weeps;
Ugo is in need;
Cheer up Ugo;
Marico, a strange foe.

Let Marico arise;
let us flee his eyes;
For there hangs a hand in the air;
Ugo's heart shall revere.

Just an observer;
i fancy not this arena;
Hold no grudges against me;
Marico's hand bewitches me.

I write this piece;
i hope i lay in peace.

A hand so great;
Ugo's heart ever lame.
