Marionette Poem by AnnaLeigh Jones

Marionette

I've been living inside your perfect lie
a thousand years too long.
I can't escape, I dont remember
the truth which opens the door.
All I know is that you can't make me be your puppet
till I'm dead.
The strings can't silence a scream.
So I'll ruin your show with my open mouth.
Simple strings can't controll a living marionette.
