Marvel Me Poem by Piccola Topo Gigio

Marvel Me

Show me a pond.
Show me ducks swimming in that pond.
Tell me that the most beautiful one is the male,
Tell me it is the one with a colorful array around its tail.
With a crown of shiny green feathers to flare.

Explain to me then,
Explain to me that in nature it is always a vie.
Reason with me as to why,
Reason with me that it is up to the female to decide,
Of all, which is the outstanding kind.

Convince me of these traits.
Convince me of the importance of its colors and displays.
Of its posture, when its wings are in full length,
Imposing on contenders what might be its strength.
And then, I will learn to comprehend.
