Mary In White Poem by David McKee

Mary In White

She lies deep in slumber, her movements so slight, the face of an angel,
Mary in white
She shudders the mornings, but shines bright at night,
a vibrance, an energy,
Mary in white
she's hopeful, she's whimsical, her beam is so bright.
she lights up a room.
Mary in white
Her heart is so full, giving and right.
Fearful of breaking, she holds it in sight.
Yearning to share it.
Mary in white
In dreams made of shadows, and flickers of light,
silhouette of a vision, I've had all my life.
My prayers have been answered,
nevermore out of sight.
The girl of my dreams,
Mary in white

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
New woman if my life, end of a manic cycle in my bipolar life.
Wish I could freeze frame both. DTM
