Mary J Session Aka Kgafela Poem by Nobert Mathumo

Mary J Session Aka Kgafela

Is the feeling of the blowing and the glowing in the sky.
My thoughts are elevated to better thinking
At last I am high
More like I could reach out and touch the tower of a lifetime flower
This grows on no man's land
Dream a dream no man ever dreamed
And live a dream no man ever lived
The taste and the flavor favor

They all bow to the will of my identity
I keep coming back many more times
Like the headlines on the Sunday Times
On the front pages is Mary J
My beloved and hated story
Of course only by some
Hated and debated on, by many
Though in and of itself unrated
Between the lines and pages of a book

As I sit down to draw a picture
I start to smell the familiar aroma
Better than money and sex
I tell you
It is Like receiving a call from the Most High
On the red telephone booth down the road
Reveling in the truth to the youth

A cruise like no other
Plenty of food for thought
Another live and direc' feeding programme
For hungry minds
And it schedules an impromptu night shift with you
Where dreams glow in the dark
A beautiful smile behind a frown
Take me again to the Marry J session.
