Masebo Poem by Kondwani Chirwa

Masebo

Masebo I

So I was broken
But I felt worse than that
Rotten
Fragments that couldn't be brought back
Talking of back
Am someone you can't follow
Am a perfect example of a deaf person
Who doesn't hear nor see death
Casting its shadow
Wearing the skin of wrong decisions that I make
I once made a better one though
Time passed without fruits
My thought
I took the seeds and gave to the birds in disappointment
What mattered she was beautiful
But vultures exist right
She found her safety there
