Mask Poem by Ellie Foe

Mask

Rating: 5.0

Everything has a mask

Come close
I'll let you peek behind mine

Not for long
Only a second

Poke a hole in it
I'll poke one in yours too

I'll give it to you for safekeeping
While I try another.

Don't ruin it.
It's beautiful...
I think.

You like my mask
So I will keep it
Forever.
Until you aren't you.

I change masks once again.
Do you like this one now?
