Masks Poem by Martine Kolber

Masks

Masks we wear
Masks that tear
Ourselves apart
Those bleeding hearts

Can we dance
Another time
Just a chance
For you to be mine

Minutes run
With your smiles
Shine like the sun
No more lies

Keeping my mind
Free, thought I, I
Was not that kind
But I do love, why?
