May 25,
The day strikes fear in my heart,
The loss of a loved one,
A friend,
A mom,
I cower in my bed,
Thinking,
Is this true?
Could this really of happened to me?
Is it a dream?
Can I wake up from this awful reality?
Why her?
A religious person,
Never hurt anyone,
Had a family,
Why not take someone else?
Someone who steals,
Or kills,
But why her, a beautiful and honest person,
I hate the person responsible,
God,
Is there a god?
Obviously not he would have saved her,
He would have spared her the pain,
My pain,
My family’s pain,
I used to think highly of this person,
But now,
He is my enemy,
Someone so coldhearted!
He took a sister, a mother, grandmother, And wife!
I despise him!
I no longer believe!
'All things must pass', George Harrison wrote. That includes you and I. Yesterday, our daughter lost our Grandchild, after a 3 month pregnancy. I felt the anger you discribed in your poem! I yelled my heartache to the heavens! If you do not believe, it means your mother is non-existent. If you do believe, she is in Heaven, awaiting you. So with belief, there is hope! I choose to believe!

I feel your pain, I have just lost two hat were close to me. But I know life continues on, it will for you and for me, and all their families. The pain will fade to a dull ache, but memories will remain. You may feel hopeless right now. I know that my friends and poetry have helped me through this loss of mine. I hope yours will help you.
