Maya's Story! Poem by Sumita Jetley

Maya's Story!

In a village green, where fields touch the sky,
Lived Maya, a dreamer, questions filling her eye.
'What do I need? What must I ask? '
In the wisdom of Gita, she took to her task.

A painter she yearned to be, a crafter of smiles,
Inspired by Gita, she'd walk wisdom's miles.
A seed in her palm, a question anew,
'What do I hold? What's destined to grew? '

Like the seed, she felt, in her was a plan,
A destiny written since her story began.
Yet wisdom advised, 'On focus, hold tight,
It's the lens making darkness burst into light.'

Day into night, her canvas would sing,
Each stroke, each hue, was a jubilant wing.
Even when doubt knocked, its tone quite brash,
She pondered her seed, and continued her dash.

Then came the day, an art show so grand,
Maya displayed her soul, not just her hand.
The villagers felt it, a love quite divine,
In each brush stroke lay a cosmic sign.

Her journey a circle, from question to sage,
From the wisdom of Gita to the canvas, her stage.
She asked and received, her destiny clear,
In her art and her focus, her universe near.

So if you've a question, if you've a dream,
Remember to ask it, let your spirit redeem.
Maya and Gita, they taught us to see,
That like seeds toward the sky, we're all destined to be.
