Maybe A Dream - Poem by Jean Young
As I walked down the road last night
I caught a glimpse of something white
It seemed to dance among the trees
As if the passersby to tease.
It appeared first here and then there
I paused a moment just to stare
Perhaps only an apparition
A figment of my imagination.
Did anyone else see this sight
That I saw on a moonless night:
A fearful thing it didn't seem
Maybe it was just a dream.
