Maybe A Fool Poem by Andesikuteb Yamusa

Maybe A Fool

Maybe a Fool

You came unexpectedly,
Like lightning,
Straight from heaven.
But come to think of it,
Would anyone be surprised
That an angel fell from heaven?

Maybe a fool.

You came in strong,
Like Goliath,
Roaring before David,
Yet gentle in strength, like Samson.
Should I be angry
That I have a pillar to lean on?

Maybe a fool.

You came in full,
Like the ocean,
With the sound of thunder,
Shaking the hearts of the weak.
Should I be upset
That I have no reason to lack?

Maybe a fool.

B,

You came as yourself,
With all that you are,
Holding nothing back.
Should I wrestle with fate?
Should I reject what heaven has written?

Maybe a fool.
