Maybe We Can Start By You Taking Me To Dinner Poem by Emile Meinhardt

Maybe We Can Start By You Taking Me To Dinner

When I met you it was almost like a dream,
But no dream could ever be this true,
The way our eyes met like a bright beam,
You stared into the blue and saw your cue.

Your voice told me that you were lost,
My eyes told you that I was found,
We both felt it not knowing the cost,
But from this moment forever bound.

Overwhelmed I couldnt control my words,
Just two innocent minds lost and found,
Suddenly flying high like two little birds,
You knew and brought me back to ground.

You said, maybe we can start by you taking me to dinner tomorrow night.
