Maybe You'D Be Mine Poem by Deafening Silence

Maybe You'D Be Mine

If i had held your hand that day,
Maybe you'd be mine.
If I had said everything i wanted to say,
Maybe you'd be mine.

If i was good enough for you,
Maybe you'd be mine.
If i had known just what to do,
Maybe you'd be mine.

If i had told you how much you mean to me,
Maybe you'd be mine.
If i had written my love on paper for only your eyes to see,
Maybe you'd be mine.

Because it'd be MY hand in your hand,
If only you were mine.
It wouldn't be so hard to understand,
If only you were mine.

When something bothers you, you'd be crying on MY shoulder,
If only you were mine.
And my nights would definitely be much warmer,
If only you were mine.

If i had told you i love you much sooner,
Maybe you'd be mine.
I'm sure my regrets would be fewer,
If only you were mine.
