Mayflower Poem by Lily Jeanne Spear

Mayflower

The water splashed from side to side
And still the boat trudged on
The nights were harsh and cold
And sickness fell o'er.

Some died some lived
And some thought they'd never get to see
The day when it appeared
Till someone yelled,

'Ho land ho! '
And they'd finally found
What they'd been
Looking for.
