Me And Everyone We Know Poem by Cassie Kinney

Me And Everyone We Know

Rating: 3.5

You hold the crown;

And hide your frown.

You wear the gown;

But tear it down.

Behind the veil;

Along your trail;

Stalking eye prevail;

Camera to nail.

On the move,

Trying to improve

Desperate prelude,

Seeking the truth.

Acting by default,

Came to a halt,

Contented to fault,

Wishing for exalt.

Complacent inaction,

Foolish distraction,

Waiting reaction,

For eager attraction.

The time has come,

Where we abstain from

Uniqueness, and succumb

To the rule of thumb.
