Me and my Heart
Knew each others thoughts
concealed secrets in the hearts of our hearts,
we sang, we danced, cried and we laughed.
we were best of the friends
who understood each others every move
Helped each other through every turn every grove
Together we were rambunctious free and true
On top of the world we flew.
Oh! Me and my heart
The best of the friends that we were.
Then; One day you came along
Cast a magic spell on it’s fragile soul
My best friend my heart was what you stole.
Oh my heart, my heart
I thought we knew each others thoughts.
Quietly, left me, And in an instance with you it was gone
Leaving behind an empty space
things weren’t the same at all for so long.
Till the day when I heard a knock
On the door of my thoughts
There it stood my best friend my heart.
Tired full of wounds
All broken down, bruised up and shattered on the ground.
Oh! My heart, my poor poor heart.
Had; Came back at last.
Wounding my hands I gathered together all the broken pieces
Which were sharper then the glass;
Of my broken heart.
No more was it rambunctious or carefree
The beautiful light that dwelled inside
Has turned into long lonesome dark night.
But together we are once again.
Me and my heart
Holding each other tight, now we sob.
Sob and sob me and my heart best of friends that we are.
