Me And My Pillow Poem by Sam Sam

Me And My Pillow

Rating: 4.0

When light fades with a confused glare
And the black takes over the lusterware
I take off my cloak of social square
stained with fake smiles, and stitched with snare

My fluffy friend hugs me tight
Asks about the color of today's light
I stare in its eyes full of love and care
Tell the day was great but some vibes were taillight.

I tell it the same stories, and it's never been riled;
Drip Drip! Drops of my soul nourish it every night.
Crystal eyes become red, and the heart itself
beats all the heartbeats in the record book on my shelf.

A tale dances over it each time, and sings a rhyme;
We hear its voice knocking at the threshold of time.
Is it a prophecy telling my soul has gone astray
or my eyes are captivated by my desires' crimes!

In all that agony, my soul unveils
a bright light in a black veil.
It fills my tears with colors of its eyes
And dimpled cheeks purge my darkest fears

My head on my pillow, and heart in her love
get synchronized like the aroma of clove.
In the swinging arms of unconsciousness,
I submit myself covered with that fairy's light.

A nice way to call the gone sleeps back and go to the dreamland. A lovely poem.
