Where Do We Reside? Poem by Sam Sam

Where Do We Reside?

Rating: 4.5

Tell me something... Where do you reside?
'In that building which stands with pride'
Oh great! Taken that building be gone,
Tell me something... Where do you reside?

'In my dress lies my residence now'
'This robe with diamonds in a row'
Take off your robe, and put it aside; Now,
Tell me something... Where do you reside?

'I live in this alluring body which I possess'
Alright, let's cut those arms and legs; are you dead?
'No', but you claimed it to be your residence, so
Tell me something... Where do you reside?

Show me the home which only you can access
'Yes, there's this angelic place to rest, my consciousness'
Come out of it, and tell me something...
Where do you reside?

'Nowhere... I am lost'Of course you're lost, my friend!
By losing your Consciousness, you've come to a dead end!
But don't worry, you can always go back to your Home
Because your true Home will always have Its door opened for you!

Run back to yourself; embrace your shadow.
Lock the door; See the world through the Window.
Don't be lost again for the streets are puzzled and narrow.
Enjoy the weather, for that Window casts real colors of the rainbow.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Allah is our first and last residence. As soon as we leave our Home, we're lost. Allah has provided us and only us the door which differentiates right and wrong. It's up to us that whether we open the door and get lost or stay in our Home and see the world through the Window.

Interesting poem with excellent rhythm in question and answer form. In eternity we reside with god given gift to view this world through our senses.
