Me And You. Poem by Jim Jones

Me And You.

Rating: 4.7

At the end of the day,
Why should I waste my life away?
Thinking about the days we spent letting time fly by.
Why should I waste my nights thinking of all our endless fights?
Still all I want is you...

Just because we are through,
Does it mean that our memories are too?
Because even the demist of sparks can give birth to the mightiest of flames.
I want you to reignite my spark.

So how can you just waste your days
Making all your problems go away?
Even though they never do.
You should know that I still think about you,
I hope that you think about me too.

If life is just an empty abyss,
Then why do I feel like this?
It's like my mind is haunted and the ghost is you
I have to vanquish you and think anew,
You're still playing those dirty tricks that I'm used to.

In the end why can't we kiss?
I mean forever you shall be missed.
If only I had a final wish,
It'd be that we had ended on a memory that I could cherish,
But dreams don't come true.
Especially for me and you.
