Me, Myself, & I

I’m better off alone
to be able to count on my self
never to be hurt or let down
I don’t have to try to be nice & put on a mask
I’m better off alone

To be better off alone
There’s no arguing or disagreeing
No put downs, or expectancies
No worrying about if I’m loved, does he love me, should I love him
I don’t care or need to, I love myself

No real effort, no feeling of loneliness,
I’m not alone, I have me, & I don’t need anyone else.
I’m better off alone.
